... isn't riveting!
Two night stopover in Riverton doesn't warrant too much description.
As for most of our 'moving' days, the drive here was pretty spectacular ... leaving Teton, driving through the Hole of Jackson [how can you NOT laugh at that?] then across all of Wyoming.
There are a couple of 'highlights' ...
D30: Return to Civilization
... the fact that this was the last day in which we would all wake up in the wilderness together. Our footsteps brought us into the newly born morning, the dull blues of a sky lightly piqued by sunlight above as we chatted on the trail one final time. The pace quickened even more once we crested the road's mile long hill and began the final descent, more or less.
Out of nowhere, with the sun getting its first taste of morning ...
On the Road
Here are some photos from our road trip yesterday--about 425 miles. We just missed getting stopped for a parade in Dubois, but we stopped and watched the beginning of it anyway. Small town stuff. After viewing the spectacular Tetons, we stopped in Jackson for lunch. Lots of gorgeous scenery.

D0: The Hikers Convene
... so I didn't feel terrible. Turned out that it was the unmarked building across the street. Go figure.
By the way, Wyoming is e. m. p. t. y. Virtually 4 out of the 5 hours I spent on driving from Cheyenne to Lander were flanked solely by desert and mountain. It's pure, open land. I found that only 570,000 people live there, compared to 5 million in Colorado which is virtually the same square area. Fact of the day!
