... the potential long drive to pick them up (around four hours each way!)
So we set off early and made our way to Medicine Hat, it's basically prarie land....very flat and super dry with loads of crop farms. Like a Western movie with lots of horses and everything! Also home of the largest Tepee!
With a few stops for fuels and food we arrived at the park and collected up the eggs.....there were 23 eggs ...
... the groom's education, employment and that of parents!! - and fill 2 full pages -- and Im told wedding gifts are archaic!! - the one wedding 'write-up' stressed that the groom had been understood to be a committed bachelor! - I think gifts are welcome in NY City!!
Flight Calgary-MH reminded me of a flight in Africa - similar small plane and 'weight' was asked

... at the Real Canadian Superstore and then had lunch at the Tourist Information Centre, where the big attraction was the playground.
After lunch, we drove to Cypress Hills. There was a great Visitor Information Centre, complete with an (indoor) fishing pond for the kids. Before heading to our campsite, we cooled off at the beach. Seta showed off her skill with her new soaker gun.

... good friends, the Findlay's from Edmonton (we camped with them for 3 nights in PEI on our cross Canada adventure in 2010). This trip will also include a good chunk of time via ferry (a poor man's cruise!) as we travel thru the inner islands of the Alaska/ BC coast, getting off at a few locations to camp for a night or two.
