    ... I wasn't going to dip my toes but Nick and Neil were keener so I eventually did. Boy, was it cold! The return journey was more direct and we passed endless firs.     ... very, very knowledgable about wines, doesn't use enzymes or modern yeasts, uses the Old World methods. He goes to Spain, France and Germany every year to make wines over there, which he ships back to sell and trade with his fraternity he belongs to.     Liam and I woke up this morning to the regular grey skies of Portland and also to the stressed minds of our parents.
