    We arrived in Strasbourg at 0730 and boarded a canal boat for a cruise of this old city (the only French town we visit).     Basel was only about 2 hours away so we had a leisurely breakfast and morning and set off around 1pm planning to get to Basel around 3pm. We could probably have made it straight to Basel the night before but we know from experience the last few KM can take forever - which indeed they did again..... cue next blog page
