Did I say it did not get any better than yesterday? Well it has!! This afternoon, we travelled down to the Gleneagles Hotel at the famous golf course. On the way, we stopped at a lovely town called Auchterader and wandered down the High Street. we found some quite unusual veggies at the local greengrocer. We did not actually go into the castle but took some good snaps of it from the outside. We did walk through a performance area that has been set up on the esplanade adjacent to the entrance to the castle. This Sunday Paul Weller, formerly of the Jam and Style Council, will be playing at the stage. (So far no luck in getting tickets.)

Howdy folks!

Just a brief update of what's going on here in "The Burgh".

  • I ate my first haggis today! Absolutely a milestone in my Scottish experience. For those who aren't familiar with haggis, it's a meat dish which looks a bit like minced meat but which is actually made of a sheep's intestines (heart, liver,...).
