... in "New Town" are still older than the United States, but compared to the buildings in Old Town they are new. I would love to see the tools they had available while constructing these old buildings. Many of the buildings are so old moss and mini ferns are growing on them. ... along the way due to the fact that it was already three o'clock and we needed to get to our camping ground by seven. There were some nice sea views around Berwick, though, and we got there just before the camp reception closed. Mortonhall is set in a lovely estate and has a very old Scottish pub, so Mike, Emma and Alison went there for a quiet drink (or 3) before bed.

So after a long 18 hours of travel we are here! Landed in Edinburgh at just after 1pm today. Kids and teachers were all pretty tires having only slept for minimal time in the flights or in the airport. We boarded our bus that we will have for the week after meeting our tour guide Will. Did I say it did not get any better than yesterday? Well it has!! This afternoon, we travelled down to the Gleneagles Hotel at the famous golf course. On the way, we stopped at a lovely town called Auchterader and wandered down the High Street. we found some quite unusual veggies at the local greengrocer.
