Later that afternoon, Rachael, Matilda, and I went to a coffee shop in Chelsea for a few hours to get some work done and then on an easy hike in a local nature preserve. Rachael, having studied botany and ecology in college, was able to identify different plants along the trail, though we called the hike off early due to the copious amount of hungry mosquitoes in the area.
We've had such great weather on our travel days, that we were due for the inevitable stormy trip. We skirted some really bad weather when we traveled last week, but I don't think we will be that fortunate today.
Okay, so you're thinking....why not stay where you are rather than risk driving into the storm? Good question! I have no answer. We don't travel more than 200 miles on ...
... so much. We're both looking forward to getting out of the Michigan polar vortex. 5 degrees this morning, and tomorrow isn't much better.

Friday was the golf event. The TWall Foundation raises money to support families in need in the Ann Arbor area. It was founded by and named for our friend and schoolmate Tom Wall.
