Heading off to the airport, IAH! Next Stop Atlanta, then a straight 15 hrs to Joburg, where we'll catch another plane to Gaborone! We have a room at a casino resort to relax and unwind before we head out to the white hot sands of the Kalahari. Not much to write about...
My only reason to come to Houston was to visit the NASA space center. Frankly, it was unimpressive at best.
Houston downtown looked very busy, huge and un-inviting and I felt very tired at the same time. So I decided not to do anything else in Houston. I checked into a motel close to NASA and crashed.
Tomorrow morning, I leave for the Bayou country in Louisiana. My destinations are going to be Lafayette, Avery Island, New Orleans and anywhere else that looks ...
Cancelled flight and problem solving

So we did; the flight was fine and on-time. We were even able to sit together in Economy Plus, which isn't bad for a last-minute change. First shift
Yesterday was my first shift with my regular preceptor on a 24 hour shift. The day started off fast - we were in the truck bay doing checkout and we barely got into it before we received a call - possible stroke. Since this was my first shift I didn't expect to get to do much other than have my basic skills examined. This is how it was for the first couple of calls, then I actually got to do more questioning.
