Half of us were heading back to Auckland and the other half continuing up to the tip before coming back down in two days time. I was heading to Auckland as I wanted to spend more time in the South Island. I was a bit dubious about staying in the same hostel as I'd gotten the beg bugs but hoped it was ...

A lovely way to start our Odyssey - spending a couple of days with our Auckland lovelies. Time to 'fill up' with grandchildren cuddles before heading away. ... milk and some shaking. Although they do put ice cream in 'em (if I hadn’t seen 'em do it with my own eyes I’d argue strongly otherwise), they don’t come out cold nor do they have any substance to them at all. They are cool at best and literally like drinking whole milk with a touch of flavoring.
