The place had a vital, modern feel to it, with some fantastic street performers plying their trade to a multicultural audience; a guitarist with a glorious voice sang covers of chart hits whilst, up the road, some dancers put on a top display of popping and locking. ... more rain it would have been quite spectacular, but this wasn't quite the case. We still enjoyed it for the diversity though. Back on the road and we headed to waitomo where we had booked cave tubing. Now this was awesome! A bit of cave walking, jumping backwards off waterfalls and drifting through the cave with the glow worms above us, was such a fun afternoon, this took us 3 hours. ... He was into protecting the oceans and agreed that we must take action against climate change. So yes I got a bit into that.. The museum turned out to be a lot more entertaining than I was anticipating! The weather didn't really cheer up, so I went for a walk after lunch around the city again, discovering some funny little shops I haven't been in yet.
