We have a cold day today but a short one. We need to make Portland Maine so Carolyn can fly home. We stop at a state park called Battle Mountain and pay $9 entrance fee to take a 2 mile road up to the top. The view is of Penobscot Bay. It is colder on top with the wind than when we are on the bike. We are using our electric jackets to keep warm. We make a stop at the LL Bean super store for a few small purchases. The leaves started to turn in Ernest in New ...

Anyone who says that art isn’t alive and thriving these days clearly has never been to Portland, Maine on the first Friday of any given month. Throughout the entire year on these select days, an event called the First Friday Art Walk takes place in the heart of Portland. This event is one of Maine’s largest, free cultural attractions, and gathers thousands of visitors every month.

... was time to bid farewell and get back on the road to our next one night stop over, Camden. After we checked into our lighthouse themed motel we went into Camden town where we would without knowing have another Maine food speciality!
