... all, loud chaotic music. The rain finally quit around 8pm, just in time to grab a beer from the state-run 'beer store', and watch the sunset from camp. What we learnt from this section of the highway, is to remember to never ever drive on it again The alternate route along the East shore of Lake Superior is far more scenic, and even if it took an hour or so longer, it would be worth it as the traffic is much lighter and is certainly very scenic.

We headed down to the marina in the downtown area. It is really beautiful and there are lots of public parks and beaches along the lake. We saw a few people fishing from the dock but there weren't many people using the parks considering it was a 23 degree day. ...
... As we approached North Bay and tried to find an address on the GPS we discovered that Canadian street addresses weren't coming up. Aarrggghh!
After getting set up (even with full hook ups and taking bike off trailer it only takes about a half an hour) we headed out for a ride and had supper at Eastside Mario's.
The campground is crowded but is nice and quiet - no train or boat whistles or highway ...
