... to point on rabbits, squirrels and birds. Her favorite greeting is with something in her mouth and "growling" affectionately at you. She makes great eye contact, is finally starting to learn words (typical of rescues), loves walks and keeps Donna company during the day, never leaving her side.
East Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States tmdjGrand Rapids, MI... I have nothing to say really. It decided to start raining like crazy the minute we crossed the Michigan border. Needless to say, I didn't feel like exploring much in the rain. But, our show went well, we had an excellent crew in a great space, so I can't really complain. I just hope Michigan gets a bit better.
Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States tourdev... little town. I reckon postcards wouldn’t do it justice. Trace and I spent many hours walking the lovely tree-lined streets marvelling at perfect little houses and their perfect little lawns, which were a shade of green not of this earth I tell you. Everybody we passed on the street gave us a massive smile and a greeting, and smelled of apple pie......I swear I heard the cogs whirring inside one of them when he turned, smiled like a mass murdering ...

Holland, Michigan, United States wheresmollyWell, this is just a welcome to my newly-formed travel blog. I've been in Holland for most of the summer, and I am going home in a day and a half to spend the next two weeks with my family. Holland has been good for me... I don't think I could have spent another summer working at my high school job in Red Wing. But hey, who says you can't go home?
Holland, Michigan, United States amandamarieg... I choose to give to the poor locally but also in Haiti as well as it deepens my faith and hope in God. Although it is not easy to take a week out of a busy life I remember;
Deut. 15:10. You shall give generously to [your poor brother], and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in all your undertakings. I have been blessed many times over and feel a deep ...
Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States larindaI had to replace the toner cartridges on my printer, so I could finish some of the things I needed to do before we left.... Cost $325! We needed to get some "walking around" euros. We thought it would be wise to have some cash ...
Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States liamleprechaun... revolution-making experience was gained, but something was probably learned. The revolutionary "Romantic Revolution" isn't as appealing to the average American as I'd thought; it needs people who 1. strongly value personal freedom and integrity, and 2. prioritize the greater good of the community (which, in clear reality, is the best thing a person can do for his own good). I'll end by saying something good about Grand Rapids: that its nightlife is a blast. Two nightclubs ...

Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States modernoddyseus... how do you like this? I'll show you immature!" He followed her all the way to class, sat down beside her, leaned over in her face, and just stared, silent and straight-faced. The teacher asked who he was, and Sarah said she didn't know. After class started and everyone was looking at Sarah, he got up, still quiet, and left, leaving Sarah with something to think about regarding just who could be the most immature. (Flashback: to two ...
