... filed back to the White Spot & had a drink & appetizers or burgers or soup. We were quite disappointed that no one was asked for ID. When Jack & I were there in September we had to show proof that we were over 19!! The walk from the domestic side to our gate on the international side must be the better part of a kilometre or more. I did not realize YVR is as big as it is.

In total we have 4 hours to kill before our flight to Hong Kong ...
Vancouver Airport, British Columbia, Canada kiberkid... pesto cream sauce. Inside the chicken was a mixture of
feta cheese, olives, onions, and sun dried tomatoes. The taste of all the distinctive flavours from the mixture
with the chicken and its cream sauce made the meal different every bite. The food plus the view from the restaurant, which had the Pacific ocean with snow covered peaks in the background, was a perfect beginning to my vacation from my vacation.
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada mgraveli... mountains covered in ice...awwww!! Sometimes it snows randomly...the snowflakes whirl around in the wind and it's just so pretty - everything gets covered in a think layer of crisp white, and it keeps everything looking so pretty!! I had a friend from Toronto come to town and visit, so that was great to have someone to hang out with for a while!! I can't wait to get out and explore this beautiful country!! :) So, all's well so far...no great news, but I wanted to ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada natsully... on one side, and covers numerous miles, encompasses parks, ponds, feature gardens, restaurant and even includes a bowling club, and tennis club. There are beautiful walks all the way through and as you can imagine, located in the heart of a city, it is extremely well used. Speaking of the city ... we caught a bus from Stanley Park (got all day parking, & the bus stop was right there). Got off at Pender Street and walked down to ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada foremanWhen we passed the border we went straight to West Vancouver, where Malcolm, mum's cousin. We went to a mall and where amazed that canadians have Butter Chicken, something Samantha has been sorely missing in the U.S. We were a bit crammed in the place we were staying with four of us in one room, but the people we were staying with ...
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada crapper66Friday We got up early and went to a local wave pool for a swim and shower. Then we travelled out of town a little to purchase a bike carrier and finally we drove over to the Insurance office again to Insure and get our Licence Plates. You would think that this would have been easy to sort-out via State Insurance - but think again. The various State employee's we contacted promised to help - some even sent faxes BUT none of ...
Vancouver, Canada manningnz... city, except unfortunately we couldn't see any of it due to the weather. Also their famous Capilano Suspension Bridge through the rain forest was shut for repairs for 10 days. So back on the streets, firstly we visit the infamous Gastown, an area some travellers had warned us about and said not to enter, even to change our hostel booking. Apparently it's a hive of scum and villainy and was only 2 blocks from our hostel. So we checked it out and to ...

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada senorbrian... fun, not gonna lie. There's a waterfall at Lynn Canyon and it was just fun to hike and enjoy the scenery. Interesting fact I learned today. Ice cream in Canada is expensive. A tub of ice cream in the grocery store is in betwee $7-$10 Canadian dollars which is like $5.50-$8.00 US. typically carts of ice cream are like max $6 in the stores here in the US, but it was so expensive in Vancouver, I thought they'd be handing this stuff out for free up here! oh well.
Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada tahazenWell today is the big day. I have been endlessly preparing for this trip for the last 4 months. I must have made at least 6 trips to MEC (Mountain Equipment Coop)for supplies and just to make sure I am completely prepared for this adventure. I actually seems unreal to me at the moment like it isn't me who is leaving today, just another trip to the airport waving someone else off on their journey. Today is my turn, my journey and I'm sure it will be nothing like I expect.
