After a 12 hour drive, my longest push the whole trip, I arrived in Dallas. I found John and Patty's house, and although it was late, they were both up and waiting for me. Patty and John are old acting friends of my dad. When I was a kid in Los Angeles, we would visit them at there house. These were special visits. John was, and still is, a puppet maker and puppeteer. Some of my ...

We spent the rest of the weekend watching several episodes of Dexter while Tommy upgraded my computer for this trip. Tyler was acting crazy as usual just running around. The next stop will be in Wichita to see the family and eats lots of Thanksgiving goodies.

Dallas, Texas, United States adamsprincesPacking for a one-month trip overseas in generally one climate came quite easy after having to utilize the same packing gear for a trip 6x as long and with many varied climates earlier this year. With my 70-liter pack and a daypack fully loaded, and with two suitcases full of food, clothing and the like requested by my friends at ACA in India in tow, I was ready to head off to Bangalore via London!
Dallas, Texas, United States texaspeyton... all while we continued to taxi. The co-pilot stood at the door of the cockpit and did not look pleased. It took about 10 minutes in all, given that the baby's carseat got stuck and couldn't be budged without three people working on it. It was actually quite humorous.
We landed at Bradley International Airport 15 minutes early, I walked straight to my bag after making a pit stop, and walked right ...
... on the beach which was great. I also got to meet one of my favorite authors at the restaurant he owns on Sanibel. Randy Wayne Wright owns a restaurant called Doc Ford's and Tanya and I got to spend a few minutes chatting with him. He even gave a signed copy of one of his books (it's a great book by the way...it's called "Batfishing in the Rainforest"...check it out). Back in Dallas for my last week before heading back to India. I worked ...
Dallas, Texas, United States bogit... absolutely minimal (only north-western tip of a road trip due to a lost pillow: a different long story). I landed Wednesday night from Florida after a beautiful flight over the gulf, blue below the whole way. After deboarding I started the search for my sister sans cell phone, not an easy task at a new airport. Family found, I jumped in shotgun and we headed for downtown Dallas for the Mavericks game. Immediately from the drive, I started to understand ...
Dallas, Texas, United States wjrohdeAmerican Airlines nearly ruins my trip....my original flight which was supposed to leave at 10:10am never leaves the ground....at 11:45am...AA has another flight bound for Tokyo and because I have carry-on luggage only, I'm allowed to board the flight and make it to Tokyo with 40 minutes to change planes and airlines ( Japan Air, they rock!!) . Dallas, Texas, United States rone_9We arrived in Dallas somewhat late. Stuck at the gate AGAIN (same as the first time we were fortunate enough to have visited Dallas the other day) for 20 minutes, waiting our turn to disembark. I thought Katherine was going to burst she had to go to the ladies so bad. Clever me went as we started to descend! haha! The flight itself was uneventful and I was very happy to be sitting beside a very beautiful ...
