... he wasn't really equipped to answer, from a couple of rather bombastic women.

Why people come to these very different places then by their attitude: display their contempt.

We then went into a theatre to watch a doco about the beginnings of the Amish, both in Europe and then America.
I know I personally couldn't belong to such a narrow thinking way of life.Too much of a rebel!

... own food, nothing flashy or fancy. It's a gentle, calm way of life with their faith and family in the middle of it.
The people are very friendly and though they could, and probably should, shake their heads at us and tell us how we are doing it all wrong, they just treat you with a smile and gracious attitudes.

Many of the other family members showed up to spend time with Dotty and though most of the kids were at summer camp, but we sure enjoyed the ones that were there! What a group! What a blast!

Today Mike and Stephanie went water skiing. She totally showed him up!
We just spent the day trying to recoup from last night. Tonight we get to do it all again!
Several of the neighbors put on firework shows on the fifth and also on the weekend following the fourth. Both the fourth and the weekend after come complete with a hog roast and a day of partying.
