Baldwinsville, New York, United States vogelfamilia... restaurant for lunch. Yucky. No Guy Fieri here.

After we settled in at the Skaneateles Suites, a very nice new cluster of individual cabins outside town, we drove around downtown Skaneateles. The town is a magnificent collection of mostly Victorian houses that look like they have been in the family and maintained in pristine form since the late 1800's. They obviously have a very strong Historical Commission that insists on upkeep. Some of ...
Skaneateles, New York, United States captnoindustry... br>i had apple popcorn, Grandma had an apple fritter and we both had hot apple cider. There was mostly craft tents, a lot of them. One lady had great painting with a ultra fine point ink pen for the outlines and water colour to create an old print effect. Another vendor made entirely hand made journals, sweing the pages together with dental floss!
and, of course, there was lots of food samplings, my favourite.

Then after getting lost ...
Syracuse, New York, United States tissnseven... dough but it misses out on the best part by not having thought of show bags. I will say that it is alot cheaper. $1 baked potatoes iwth everything, $6 pre sale entry and $5 parking. Otherwise all fair's are basically the same.
Altogether a good fair though. The best thing about this place. People come from all over new york state to come to it and it is a long running tradition.
Syracuse, New York, United States tissnseven... learnt and a promise to provide for me always.

September 12th Saturday
Gma and I sent to the Irish festival in clinton square, downtown today. It was very cool. a few vendors, some authentic irish pub food, some imposters just leeching off the festive spirit while trying to sell thier deep fried hart attacks. I had shepards pie, pretty good. I especially liked the book tent, consisting of all irish books from cookbooks to encyplodias and irish language dictionaries to ...

Parish, New York, United States rvdude... I stood there, upset, annoyed, and had no idea what to do. 'I'm at the airport all by myself, My brother just left to drive back home, I have friends that are supposed to be at the airport in Berlin, waiting to pick me up. I have no way of getting a hold of them to tell them I cannot make it. What was I going to do?' There was only one thing I could possibly think to do. Call my best friend's father and get help. My family was not world travelers, and ...
Syracuse, New York, United States extremetraveler... on outside the Dome starting at 1:30. So we headed over to SU right after lunch. Parking is at a place called Sky Top. They run buses from there down to Campus. UVA does something similar and it really is a great system. When the game was over, they had a ton of buses running so the wait wasn't too long at all to catch a bus back. The only complaint, they did not have enough port-a-potties for the amount of people up there ...
Syracuse, New York, United States psubrat93... set from side stage and they were a real treat - I joined them, singing my own, "Why Do You Lie," and singing a few verses with Todd and trading leads with Lenny on "T-Bone Shuffle." Following my set with Might Lester, I had to hotfoot it to one of the side stages where I was to host a guitar workshop, along with emcee Mark Hoffman. The crowd was light but grew steadily and I talked with them about my heroes such as T-Bone Walker and ...
Syracuse, New York, United States seancarney... Now this man was very old like almost as old as the mansion we were in, but he got us sheets and a towel, we didn't need a key which I thought was very strange but no matter. We dropped off our bags and went and got some dinner from the local supermarket. Came back to the hostel knock on the door and the man's wife answered the door. Cooked dinner, downloaded my photos onto my laptop and was asleep by 10pm.
