... US. I can agree with one thing - Siesta Key is home to the softest, and almost whitest, sand I have ever encountered. That includes you, Fiji. Since we weren't dressed appropriately for the beach we opted to get dinner at Siesta Key Oyster Bar, a dollar-bill filled, live music, open-air, dirty little joint that I already love. Traveled up the Gulf Coast!
Today we went to Myakka State Park and walk some trails and climbed up a Tower above the Canopy of Palm Trees. The view was spectacular!! After walking the park we left and drove through Sarasota over the bridge and up through Anna Maria Island. God's waiting room
... Tuesdays are Fresh Market days on Beach Boulevard in the Gulfport Waterfront district. The Market showcases fresh produce, baked goods, plants, arts and crafts with an entertainment of music and songs nearby. A year-round event, I find that it is not a huge crowd pleaser, probably because it is being held on a weekday.
