    ... of it all being watered through irrigation systems despite the drought. The highway took us to Gilroy where we then headed for Watsonville but somehow missed a turning as the signs were rather vague. Back on the right road we drove on and stopped in Watsonville to have a break. It didn`t seem to have a lot going on but we did find a fab ice cream shop called Conchitas.     ... and ordered two falafel sandwiches. Well no word of a lie, it was the best falafel we have ever had! So crunchy and tasty. Yum! Now stuffed, we headed back to the beach to do some more sunbathing.

    After we were sunned out we strolled down the boardwalk again and Dan had seen a 'Dipping Dots' stand and had to get some. Basically dipping dots is ice cream in, well, the size of dots! He had it 18yrs ago when he was in America so had to have it again.

    ... each we rode to and fro to Fisherman's Wharf and visited the Ghirardelli Square and sampled some of their delicious chocolate. Returning to Union Square about 4:30, Doug sat and people watched while I did a quick look around in Macy's. We walked leisurely home for Happy Hour and went out to dinner about 7:15 to Lori's Diner- a 50s style restaurant. It was a lovely evening for a walk.
