Made it back by 10 and sacked out for the night.
Got up this morning and ate breakfast, took a shower, had a light lunch and then it was back to santa Cruz to get onto the internet.
Heading out tomorrow for Santa Barbara and then onto LA/Orange County to hopefully hook up with Al and Alma and Rick and Lynn.

At the time of writing it is exactly 100 days since I set out from Toronto and, it's still slightly surreal. Over 4200 miles (6759km) travelled with1161 (1868km) of those down the western coast of the USA.
After crossing over 3000 miles (4828km) of Canadian territory I think I had a slightly lackadaisical attitude towards covering just half that distance to cycle the USA from top to bottom.
As a good friend commented, "That will learn me!"
... during this trip. A quick drive through Berkeley then Oakland and a stop for lunch at In'n'out, my favourite burger chain over here. Next stop was San Mateo. Over the San Mateo bridge which is huge, 7 miles long (11km) and a quick stop at a lego store before we hit the road to go down to Monterey. Monterey is a beautiful little town on the Pacific, and we went down to the waterfront for dinner and a look around ...
... the California girls and surfers? We walked along the boardwalk (concrete path) past the gridlock traffic and steam train and eventually found the downtown which is fantastic. The visitor centre hut guy told us about the Walnut St walk and Mission Hill plus the Redwood forest areas towards Ben Lomond etc. we had supper at a chocolate joint that was really good.
