Left New Orleans heading to Pensacola. First stop was at Bellengrath Gardens in Theodore. The gardens were beautiful and the house was very impressive. I still didn't see an alligator but did see a large Gar in the bayou. We had lunch in the cafe and most people went and put their bathers on for the beach. I will give 2 hours at the beach a miss. Travelling into Mobile, it was just how you imagine. Fairly wet, swampy land. ...
... and dogs - but no children!
We were warned about connecting our waste pipe to the sewer without a proper airtight connection - apparently the city sanitation department does vacuum cleaning of the sewers during the night and your pipe can get sucked in, then spat out accompanied by lots of .... waste. Apparently this happened to Robin Williiams in the movie RV

Our journey continues almost to Florida through 2 other states, Mississippi and sweet home Alabama. Pensacola is nice and has some great beaches. We checked out Perdido Key and Destin. But the later was a bit to touristy for us and not very dog friendly.

... the beach but we arrived too late and it was all booked up. Now just to let you know Pensacola Beach is for the rich! Well if you want to stay along the beach anyway, I’m talking for a Travel Lodge it was $160 for the night yep, a Travel Lodge!
