After breakfast, we drove into Jackson to the Mississippi Arts Center where the International Museum of Muslim Culture is housed. Other exhibits were about Huey Long's shooting, other governors, movie about the history of the building, photo exhibit by a famous Louisiana photographer, and on the grounds the Louisiana Merci Train boxcar. Apparently some citizens of France after WWII sent/sponsored a Merci (Thank you) Train consisting of 49 boxcars filled with presents. ...
We left Robertsdale if for no other reason than to escape the constant gunfire from the shooting range nearby. Driving into Mobile reminded us of driving into San Francisco from the Bay Bridge, because it is approached by a bridge. Once we got into Mobile, we went into a tunnel to go under a shipping channel.
