    ... Sinatra. When he sang the Andre Bocelli and Celine Dion song, "The Prayer" (normally sung in Italian and English) he sang in Hawaiian and English......a truly moving rendition. I hoped he would sing one of my favorites, "E O Mai" and told him so when he greeted us after the show.     Farewell to beautiful Mt Rainier and back to Seattle. After the obligatory shopping stop at REI Dustin arrives to act as our chauffeur /tour guide of his beautiful city. We requested water views and he presented us with Gig Harbour, a town on a small inlet with sea kayakers practising their skills . Mt Rainier still loomed up in the background.     Much has changed with all the growth of businesses and influx of people but what hasn't changed are the friendships which remain over many years despite the infrequent personal contact.

    We are grateful to the internet for the ability to maintain connections and when we see our friends, many kindred spirits in so many ways, it seems like old home week.

    First time in Seattle - a great little city - home of Starbucks, Microsoft and Amazon! There is literally a Starbucks on every corner - apparently 360 total! We stayed downtown in a little boutique place called Hotel Max - cool place and they serve free beer everyday at 5.30 - nice little bonus!
