    ... I also bought a porcelain crane and I shall display it with my origami cranes that I can make. We then headed off to the Atomic Bomb museum which showed the story of the bomb as well as what Nagasaki was like before the dropping of the bomb and after the dropping of the bomb. The saddest thing was seeing the remains of simple things, like a little girls lunch box, glasses, coins clocks that had stopped exactly at the time the bomb dropped 11 02am etc. There ...

    Much has changed with all the growth of businesses and influx of people but what hasn't changed are the friendships which remain over many years despite the infrequent personal contact.

    In the roughly 24 hours since we rolled into the driveway, we've managed to get the worst of the bugs and grime off the bike - and us. Several loads of laundry later and our clothes can no longer stand in the corner on their own. Factor in a trip to the grocery store for essentials and things are getting back to "normal" - whatever that means.
