    ... It is so obvious about recycling there. By law they HAVE to recycle old food scraps, like when you peel potatoes and when you have left overs on your plate. And it was interesting when we went to put the food scraps in the recycle bin because there was a BLACK WIDOW spider in the bin!!!! Seriously, they have black widows in California. Sorry I dont have the photo of it, I threw the scraps on him too fast!

    The family were planning a big get together for labour day weekend (a bank holiday) which happened to be on the day I was leaving for New Zealand! Such a shame! I would of met more of the family, and no doubt had a great time too! I did luckily get to meet Antoinette (the eldest) and her husband Sergio and the children too! On the day I was leaving!
