      We made it! Over 44,500 miles and thirty countries in 254 days. So, many thanks to those who were so encouraging and to those whose expertise and experience helped us get ready. And thank you to everyone who was so generous in giving us a comfortable bed and a home cooked meal. And thanks for allowing me to share the trip with you. It added a new dimension to the odyssey.

      We all gathered in the parking lot ready for our day of driving. The whole drive was boring and uneventful. The scenery was the same the whole time, big paddocks and a few trees here and there. After we arrived at the campgrounds we quickly set up our tents but the humidity was a killer so we decided a swim was in order ASAP. Half the group decided to rent tubes and float down the entire river but I chose to check out a few of the springs ...
