    Hey everyone!!! My first destination is to Washington DC Where I will be volunteering at George Washington University for multiple research studies.     ... me texting Kandy thinking we were going to die) through peak hour traffic (why do we keep doing this) we finally made it to East Orange. Doesn't seem to be the most upper class of areas, but it will do! We've taken everything out of the car just to be safe :-/

    We just got back from Clifton, which is a suburb nearby, where we had a yum dinner at Applebees. A little more expensive than what we usually spend, but cheap if compared to Aussie dining prices!

    ... Statue of Liberty. It was so nice to be out in the sunshine for a change......it's a beautiful day. Then off to Chelsea Markets which was originally the meat packing warehouse but is now one of "the" places to be, where we had lunch. Time now for a walk along the High Line......a walkway above the city which was once an above ground railway. It's a beautiful place where you can just sit in the sunshine and have lunch or just relax with trees and gardens ...
