          ... the way that we found so we stopped by the mall to enjoy the air conditioning and then had dinner at a cool pizza place called 'Pieology'. Create your own pizza, any toppings, any sauce for $7.95. It was so good and fun to create exactly what you want and watch them make it.

          After dinner we found a nearby Walmart and McDonalds to use free WIFI at and to sleep at...let's hope for a night at under 100 degress!

Apparently, when the fires come through the stand of trees the heat from the fire cause the pine cones to pop open and release the seeds that are trapped in the cones. Pretty crazy huh?           ... around the hotel grounds (which were vast!) to get our bearings, had a sushi lunch and then caught some late afternoon rays by the pool. We didn’t realise the Venetian had a TAO poolside nightclub so it was quite the party scene day and night.           After leaving Yosemite we stopped at Oakhurst to spend a couple of days relaxing (and so Ken could watch the Steelers lose - yet again).

          Some the best tips we get on what to see in the area come when we check into campgrounds and ask that question. This man told us that we needed to go to Fresno and see the Forestiere Underground Gardens. This turned out to be a very fascinating place.
