... them to let us come, and they finally agreed that we could bring them at 9:30pm. WHEW!

Our trip was tentatively to start about 5:30, and if we hadn't been able to get the dogs in, we would have had to wait to drop them off at 9am. SOO, the big news is that we actually left on time!! We left at 5:32, and we made it to Alamogordo by 11:15 mountain time. We ate lunch, and then we all headed to Gallup, NM. ...

We arrived in Brownwood after a full day of driving from Van Horn. After getting set up at the Shady Oaks RV Park, we went to Kathy and Dennis' house. Later, Shawn, Phillip and Skye dropped by with their kids. Kathy out did herself by cooking all of us a delicious dinner of grilled pork chops, mashed potatoes, cantaloupe, salad, and bacon wrapped jalapeno cheese poppers. Good eats!

We got to spend some time with them and Logan, their grandson. We got in their ATV and drove around their property to check out their deer feeders and cattle. Can't wait to see the pictures of the finished restoration of their Mustang!

... I am sure we will have plenty of stories to tell from our upcoming two weeks.....some of us wanting to kill each other....but most about what hilarious antics we got ourselves into. And no doubt we will get into some, it's us, bad luck seems to follow us. We will try and update as much as we can, catch ya in a couple weeks! Ciao! PS we want ...

... armadillo! I hope there will be more.
This is the road trip picture I had in my mind... warm wind blowing in the open windows...Chum yelling "Moo" at the cows...a little singing (me) and being totally without an agenda. I felt really blessed today in spite of some automotive challenges.
This back country road led us through the tiny towns of Jonesboro, Gustine, Hamilton, and past the turn off for Pancake, TX, ...
