    If you live in the south, you never get snow, you don't even expect it! When the rare time comes around that you ACTUALLY get snow, all hell breaks loose! Even if it is a few flurries, you break everything warm out you have, and act like it is a freakin' blizzard!! Or at least that is what we do in my house. My husband is from Chicago so he things it's hilarious! Whatever, we have fun!!!!! ...

    While being in the army we have tried to travel to things close by Fort Hood. We found this little slice of heaven one day while driving around. Marble Falls, TX. is beautiful. It's close by the water and has the best diner that I think I have ever really tried. My favorite is their Pecan Pie. I have never had any better pecan pie then ...

    ... of weather. The only bad part of the weekend has been the flights. My flight out to San Angelo was delayed for mechanical reasons. Going back to Des Moines, my flight to Dallas was delayed for over an hour which made me miss my connecting flight. So now I'm hanging out in Dallas for 5 hours in order to catch the last flight out of here for Des Moines. All in all, it was a really good ...

    ... armadillo! I hope there will be more.
    This is the road trip picture I had in my mind... warm wind blowing in the open windows...Chum yelling "Moo" at the cows...a little singing (me) and being totally without an agenda. I felt really blessed today in spite of some automotive challenges.
