Max remained at Sexton Lofts awaiting the removalists, estate agent etc. The morning for me was subsequently spent as yesterday had been - packing and cleaning, interspersed with trips outside for boxes, packing tape or refreshments. The bathroom, once it had been emptied of everything that needed to be moved, became the resting place for items which were to stay at Ontario Place. ... travelling on a motorway alongside Lake Michigan. After a while we realised that the Lake was on our right. And according to our map it should have been on the left. Yup, we'd got the right numbered bus but going in the wrong direction. The next stop was a good couple of miles further on so we got off and travelled back the way we had come. ... ice and snow. The beaches are of course quite different in the warmer months and attract plenty of people for swimming and sunbathing. We followed the lakefront around to Navy Pier. Plenty of hardy joggers and people walking dogs along the way, despite the freezing conditions. Not too much happening with the outdoor attractions given the weather, but the indoor areas were still crowded with tourists and locals.
