We found out this area is one of the largest agricultural areas in the world. They produce 90% of CA carrots and the baby carrots were developed here. Frito has a chip plant here and they use local potatoes. They also have a large citrus and nut crops.

Well it's not that bad. We saw cheap gas ($3.72!) so we pulled over. It's 2:44am and we are in the middle of nowhere. The gas station locks their bathroom at night so I guess I'll wait. It's probably a good thing though since now I can't get murdered there. The gas station eerily resembled the set for every horror movie ever. I should've taken a picture. It smells weird here.
