... Moonstruck! After passing through the neighborhood we climbed the stairs to get up on the Brooklyn Bridge.

The Bridge has carried subway trains as well as cars and pedestrians at various times. Now the upper deck is divided into pedestrian and bicycle lanes, and the lower deck is for cars only--no commercial trucks. Subways take the Manhattan Bridge, the next one to the north. Angela ...

... included, are best seen from ground level, their architecture, street life and buzz are all best appreciated by looking straight at them. But New York is special, it has great architecture, street life and boy does it buzz, but it also has the most amazing skyline and you really do need to climb up to see it. I will let the pictures below tell the story far better than I can.

... doing the rooftop walk, before we head to the airport for our 26 hour journey home :S It's been lots of fun getting a taste of four of the worlds top cities... I think Rome wins top place for me - beautiful people, delicious food, culture, warmth, reasonably cheap. But I have loved each city for different reasons, and I'd go back to any of them any day.
