... was very good. We continued to walk and walk and ended up at the water while the sun was setting. Very enjoyable. We continued to walk and ended up at a Cuban restaurant wand a trio was playing. ... New England Patriots vs Seattle Seahawks) so the show was pretty quiet. That evening we went over to a friend's house to watch the game at his super bowl party and enjoyed a beer keg. ... green instead of the brown copper colour due to the oxidisation of the copper from the salty sea water!! We exited the monument and walked over to the range station where the boys wanted to participate in the Junior Ranger program. They were given a question sheet which they had to answer all the questions, things they had learnt from their visit etc, and once done they had to recite a little oath about promising to help preserve national parks...... and ...

... this afternoon smelled like a donut. Janine and I spent a lot of the afternoon looking up at the skyscrapers. I'm sure we will wake up in the morning with stiff necks. We just pottered this afternoon, but we did come across the Rockerfeller Centre, the Apple shop and the Lego shop. Only took a few photos today, but I'm sure there will be plenty more to ...

... of other people have the same idea so it is super crowded. We had to be patient to take our shots and it was hard to step back and appreciate what was in front of us. The sunset was beautiful and was setting over Uptown. The pinks in the sky were so vibrant and mixed well with the scattering of clouds about. We go up and up to get undisturbed views of the NYC skyline. It was amazing to see the lights come on and watch the city sparkle at night.
