      ... a fat kid on..... Well eggs and bacon! I had toasted bagels, and treated myself to a waffle. I tried to eat it all, but it was just SO much!!! We checked out and set off in the Mustang. St. Louis by day felt like a totally different city. It was surprisingly quiet, especially for a Monday morning. The traffic was a breeze (especially compared to Chicago!).       ... no more!!!!! We stopped at a few little places along the way, but we are all disappointed in the so called "highlights" of Route 66! Mostly they are old servos or motels with broken signs etc and maybe a shop selling junk momentos!
