    ... a book for self-publication on Amazon.com. He was excited to hear that there is no charge- the publishers of his books have charged dearly and as a result the books are quite expensive- but I plan to look at them when I visit the Library of Congress to do research.

    Back to the campground to relax and organize our gear- tomorrow we head to St. Francisville, leaving our pioneer heritage exploration for planter country!

    We started out the day in Franklinton in Washington Parish. The whole town shut down for the opening of the Washington Parish Free Fair, with a big parade. We had front row seats and savored some coffee as the morning was cool.

    ... lived with her second husband, Phillip Morris, in the early 1800's. It was on Berry Creek and the Bogue Chitto River, right on the Choctaw Trail. There is a rafting/tubing company there now, but it was closed for the season, so we didn't go in to take pictures. We will rely on Google Earth for that!

    I had the opportunity to travel back down to Louisiana to preach for the Big Creek and Shiloh churches; I stayed with the Carman's and was also blessed by getting to visit with Ray, Hillary, and the Haden's!
