That evening we stayed for the rodeo. Local favorites, including some talented little kids, competed in barrel racing, calf roping and bull riding. Lots of thrills and spills!

Headed to the Franklinton, La. library for research. They have a wonderful selection which is well organized for genealogical researchers. We found out that using digital scanners and photos is illegal in Louisiana- all must be done on the copy machine at the library-interesting. I had the opportunity to travel back down to Louisiana to preach for the Big Creek and Shiloh churches; I stayed with the Carman's and was also blessed by getting to visit with Ray, Hillary, and the Haden's!
