    Leaving Miami. All Packed. Ready to go. We drove from Miami to Lake City. A little over 400 miles and 4 Superchargers. The charging wasn't bad and was located where and when I needed to stop anyway for food and breaks. Diesel was great and seems to be very happy traveling. He left his mark everywhere!! The weather wasn't the best and some of the rain was really heavy but overall a pretty good ...

    We stopped in Gainesville to grab some lunch at place called The Top. Sadly when we did not realize that it would be closed until 5pm. We decided to just pop in at the Harvest Cafe that was on the corner. The food was super simple but perfect! We all ordered avocado sandwiches and then hit the road once again. With some food to revive us we were in good spirits for the still long road ahead of us. ...

  • Always explore the camp grounds on day 1. You never know what you are missing out on.
  • Things I will remember about this trip:
    • The ravine and hike
    • Rain, rain and more rain
    • The turtle in the turtle hole
    • The pee pee tree
    It worked out well for my son's first trip- nothing too exciting was thrown our way but there were hurdles none the less. I would say the first camping trip was a success!

    ... we had a time change and gained an hour. We arrived like at 3:30, got set up and got my crabmeat appetizers ready for the meet and greet. Everyone seemed nice, some people had been coming for 7 years. A chilly night, I showered in the RV. Pooped and in bed at 10:30, that's early for me!

    ... that allow overnight and week long outings. Then, the driving will be much less and I can begin to really figure out what I want to do and where to move to. There is a really awesome storm going on the thunder shakes the car and ground, the lightening makes the 4th of July fireworks look weak in comparison! And because of this, I stopped short of my beach sleeping destination and am sitting in yet another visitor center parking ...
