Don't hurry... one day in Tromsø!
... br> Polaria is an aquarium and also an arctic and educational experience. It's within walking distance from the city center (5-10 minutes) and you won't miss it. Just look for a building that reminds you some ice floes pressed up on land by the rough seas of the Arctic. Great architecture!

... of crazy arctic animals and sea critters. On our third day we rented bikes, biked about 2-3 hours out of town, hiked the highest summit on Kvaløya called Store Blåmann, and rode back at about 1-2 am. The whole trip took 12 hours and we met a hiking buddy from Sweden on the way up named Daniel. Only about 50-100 people summit the mountain every year, so finding another hiker was very cool. We returned to our hotel and immediately went to sleep after our longest day ...
Where the Sun Never Sets

At least in the patches of downpour, we were able to escape to a café and meet up with the girl who had happened to sit next to me back on my first train ride leaving Oslo and heading north late last July. The magic of travelling and keeping contacts (in other words, ahem, facebook).
Anna (my hitch-hiking accomplice) and I parted ways as she returned to Tromsø and I travelled deeper into Sogn og Fjordane to find my old Edinburgh ...
