... colourful timber buildings (mostly in need of some upkeep) lining the main street. The village is set on a lake, with Trakai Castle sitting on an island accessed by two bridges. Entry was 8 euros each (about $12), with an extra 1.16 euro being required if you wished to take photos! The soy sauce container had to much sauce in it, but I managed to get enough wasabi in there to be happy. Enjoying the sunshine, I walked back to the lakeshore near the island castle and treated myself to an ice cream before wandering back through the town to the bus station and catching the next bus back to Vilnius.
