    ... but when we arrived, the lift wasn't working! It had been only several hours earlier, when Vytaute took her father! The bad thing was that they still charged the same 8 litas for people to climb the stairs to the top of the tower! Vytaute was horrified when we told her later, as she said they had huge renovations done to this building only two years before and the lift should not be breaking down like this.     It's a hot one today...Drove into Vilnius the capital of Lithuania to explore the city, being Sunday free parking for us. A short stroll got us to New Town a very modern looking area, that looked so different to what we have seen of the country so far.
