We are sailing today from Lyon to Tournon, there has been a lot of rain so the Rhone river is on Orange alert, which means that big ships cannot sail. The reason is that the Rhone has several locks, which are really really fascinating. ... over 6 hours and more than 50 euro in tolls!

Corri laughed when I packed a small tool kit, but for some reason our rear bumper managed to lose some retaining pins and started to flap - duck tape to the rescue!

We also saw the Church and Museum of ...

... shop around the impressive store. It was pretty cool to see! They say a 3 Star Michelin restaurant costs at least 150-200 euros per person.... I am sorry, I could never ever justify that price for a meal! Mathew our Tauck guide has been to a 2 star and says it is totally worth it! (I'm still not convinced...)

From the cooking school we finally got back to the boat for some lunch! We ate very quickly, because ...

... process for feeding 145 people. Everything is freshly prepared by a team of seven. Pretty amazing.

Tonight we had coq-au-vin, which was rich and delicious! We have some pictures to tempt you. Of course one must put a full bottle of Beaujolais in each recipe to serve six or eight. She must have used an entire wine shop’s worth for the big pot she made for us. Often they use two ...
