Well, I had hoped by getting up at 7ish and having breakfast at 7:30 and that I would be out early enough but I hadn't counted on the wealth of information imparted by my B&B hostess Barbara.

I was served a candlelight breakfast with coffee, juice, fruit salad and a breakfast casserole. Barbara said it was very healthy with grains, granola and I am not sure what else. It was topped with a mound ...

I started out from home around 9:30 am and arrived in Palmyra at 2 pm. I looked along Main Street for accommodation but ended up at the Aqueduct Park where I called the first B&B on my list. Luckily they had a cancellation and I was able to get a room immediately. The big LDS pageant was being held in Palmyra this week so I indeed was fortunate.

Can you imagine something like that happening in America? Either fists ...

... that would have happened in the good 'ol US of A.
Big bathrooms. Even the most "luxurious" place we stayed (in Alba) had a relatively small shower. I can't wait to shave my legs in comfort again.
Free bathrooms. I should have had a line item in the budget for paying for bathrooms in Italy. Some places charged as much as 1.50 Euro just to use the restroom (I'm looking at you, Venice). Alba and the surrounding area was the ONLY area where there was ...

Lake Ontario Day 2 - Nice Calm Seas

Our first day on the water after leaving the marina was beautiful. We had flat seas and very little wind.

The temperature was a pleasant 70 degrees. We stayed on the flying bridge all day and enjoyed the scenery of ships and shoreline passing us by.

This was a great first day on the water and Dennis was able to get to know the way the boat handles without any ...
