... how long we had been at this table that they could be using for someone else, so I asked for him to bring the check as he was setting down the limoncello and espresso (served with chocolate, of course). He said “no, no – don’t worry. Enjoy.” He refused to bring me the check! After we had finished our drinks and the chocolate, and then maybe another 5-10 minutes after that, he brought us the check. That phrase stuck with me the entire rest of the trip after Christian said it. Working is a way to pay the bills and enjoy life, not your entire being, your identity, your life. Although I'm pretty good about setting down the phone, I'm not always great at it.

    I didn't need those jeans...

I also realized I had too many clothes packed/planned. The original idea was to do laundry and have 5-6 changes of clothing to wear. Except I ended up with 10 shirts, 3 shorts, 1 pair of jeans, 3 skirts, and 2 dresses. Too much.

After making some difficult decisions, I realized - I really didn't need jeans. It's supposed to be in the ...

Our first day on the water after leaving the marina was beautiful. We had flat seas and very little wind.

The temperature was a pleasant 70 degrees. We stayed on the flying bridge all day and enjoyed the scenery of ships and shoreline passing us by.

This was a great first day on the water and Dennis was able to get to know the way the boat handles without any ...
