These days in Rio Claro were so damn hot and every day around 40 degrees and you just couldn't do a thing and I just sat there sweating like hell without moving a lot. We went to some other little parties of other house and I spent some time in the library of the university to get some stuff for my bachelor work I will start when I am back home. I felt quite weird to do some serious stuff again but somehow I felt useful as well after months ...
A rather good weekend
Had a good couple of days out here in the 30 degree heat of Araraquara. Saturday started off pretty slow, most people going for a lie-in but in the early afternoon we started a bloody good BBQ that went on until gone 2 in the morning. One (and a bit) months in
Still surviving, despite the mental dogs that don't stop barking all day and the arrival of a Chinese laptop that drains all the bandwidth making my internet go slower than dial-up back in the day...
Starting to crave different food right now. Everything I've had here has pretty much deep-fried or 90% salt. Don't know if thats the case everywhere or just the fault of whoever cooked it, but I'm looking forward to my trip up to Salvador to try something new.

A bit of work!
Here thanks to IAESTE - working in the Physical Chemistry department of UNESP (occasionally). Staying at a 'Republica' which is essentially student accommodation here. We're pretty stable at 9 girls now - they don't do things small here.
Been up to a lot so far, they have SESC centres here which are pretty much leisure centres on steroids. Free music at least once a week - so far we've seen samba bands, ...
