... River, pristine, wooded forest, small farmhouses with fields of green crops and barely a car to be seen. We came to La Barde for lunch and a relax by the pool In the late afternoon we toured some of the nearby villages - Domme, Castelnaud and La Roque-Gageac - not in depth, just enough to get our bearings and take in the scenery each had to offer.

Well, perhaps it is good for me, but it certainly was not that enjoyable. I was breathing very heavily all morning. I was only glad that it stayed relatively cool until about 11am when it started to heat up rapidly. It reached over 90 degrees today, and I was just miserable. It was also very humid from yesterday's rain, and each breath felt less like air and ...

... that would be on our route today until our destination.

Hiking in the rain and when it’s warm outside is not very comfortable. Within two hours, I was soaked even through my rain gear. My shoes, my pants, my shirt were all soaked through and were so for the entire hike. Despite the five hours of rain on a six hour hike, it was very beautiful. We hiked through national forests the entire way and even the rain could not dampen the sights (well, ...
