This most recent Thursday we visited Notre Dame. The cathedral is actually really great, but it’s always swarmed with tourists. The invention of the selfie stick is without a doubt a grave threat to tall pedestrians everywhere, because I’ve been smacked twice now (the same goes for umbrellas). ... We spent nearly two hours down there before climbing up an even narrower set of spiral stairs to get out that were pretty claustrophobic and went on and on and on... But we lived! The security man had told us that Gare de L'est would be open till 8, but we found that the station shut in half an hour. By the time we had waited in the huge line we had ten minutes I talk to the attendant, who had very little English and had obviously had a long and ...

... Niagara Falls. We tried to explain the distance but we aren't sure he understood. He smiled and said one day he was going to go to Niagara Falls! So cute! He showed us the sights along the way and also showed us the exact place where Princess Diana died in the car crash. He said that he had driven by just fifteen min before the crash and then again afterwards and actually saw the wreckage but had no idea what it was until the next day when he saw it on tv!
