Very wet here now but still reasonably warm, moving slowly North and heading for Rouen today. We heads to IKEA en route to Oissel and had a little shop for goodies for the Motorhomes before heading to the aire at Oissel. Decent weather and lovely to walk on the banks of the Seine again. A good night at Oissel ...

... as a hunting lodge for Francis I and changed hands several times it seems because apparently it was somewhat challenging to live in – very cold in winter and heaps of mossies in summer! It was a very cold castle to walk around on a cold day.

It was and adventure of a morning we had to get to a specific train station that would take us to Orleans and there are hundreds of stations and lines in Paris, after about an hour of trying to figure out how to get there we found the easiest was to take the train from the airport then change lines to get ...

Better day, but still a long drive

A travel blog entry by dubdup on May 07, 2014

Just us (The Good Olde Boys) and Interceptors to go, of for 9am and on the road we go, steady drive, still put in another 9 hours of driving, but managed to go via the Millau bridge and kept pushing to get to Orleans, so this gives us an easier day tomorrow.

Rat Rods drove through the night to get to Calais for 3pm, then the 6pm boat over to the UK, they reckon to be back home in the North East for 2am. Tip my hat to them, that is a marathon driving session!! Well done lads.
