... event". It's not like a normal show anymore. Now we just perform for an hour as the entertainment of their Vattanfall event. It will be a different set up but the energy will be as high as ever! And sometimes everyone gets so cold that the best way to warm up is to dance and sing as hard as ever on stage!
I say everyone because I'm a Minnesota girl. Sweden weather ain't got nothin' on me! :)
It was a long day as we were rehearsing new numbers for our European medley which ...

After lunch we had educational time. We had some great reflection time, which is always greatly appreciate. It was time to really think about our experiences thus far, and take in the fact that we are over half way done with our tour.
Half way done... wow! I can't even fathom what I've done so far... and what I have yet to do!
We were done early ...

I checked into my hostel, which was evry quiet and then decided to go and check out the UNESCO sight, Gammelstad, which means 'Old Town'. There is a magnificent church there and surrounding it are tiny houses that pilgrims built there so they could stay warm when they travelled to the church.
I visited the outdoor museum which was basically the farm with descriptions of ...

Luleå, Sweden radsolvGood afternoon all! It has been a weekend of festivities in Lulea celebrating Midsummer! As I took to the bike path this morning, I couldn't help but wonder...am I the only one walking a straight line? Due to weather, we decided to not go to Jokkmokk, and stayed here instead. On Friday afternoon we drove to Gammelstad or "Old Town" to celebrate with the locals. Old Town is a traditional Swedish "Church Town" from the 15th ...

After mashing the berries, I layered the ingredients according to my online recipe, and then spackled the remaining cream over the cake. After dinner, we all partook in its deliciousness. Wish you were there. Last night we went clubbing again as a farewell tribute to the French students who have been working with Kyle and everyone else at the University. We dressed in our finest Swedish ...

We stopped at several docks to pick up or drop off people on remote islands, and at one island we were able to get off and walk around. Many of the islands housed cabins and small sandy beaches, perfect for summer get-a-ways. Our trip lasted about 4 hours, and now it's Monday. Enjoy the photos and videos from this past week!

Instead, I purchased some sauces to spice up our dinner meals: Sweet and Sour Pineapple, Coconut and Lime, Quattro Formaggio, and Garliccio. We are getting pretty tired of pasta, so I picked up some Kornris the "Alternativ till ris, pasta." See, it's easy to read Swedish. The alternative to rice and pasta. It's a ...
Lulea, Sweden kyle-and-lisaThis morning we had a quick dip in the lake, ate breakfast and left the campsite to Luleå to meet up with Dan and Erik. Dan and Erik were two of the cavers I met while I was in Nelson in New Zealand. They were both studying in New Zealand when I met them and since then, they had been back in Sweden for a few months. Dan was moving up to Luleå from South of Sweden to begin his University, and Erik was coming up to see him from Sundsvall. Henrik and I ...
