Up at 8:00 and out the door for Karlsborg on the Vattern Lake via Lacko Slott, a 13th century castle (renovated in the 17th century) just outside of Lidkoping, on Vernern Lake. Well I got on without a problem but dinner had already begun. I quickly got changed, walked into the dining room and Oh, Oh ! Brenda and I had been sat at the Captains table for dinner that night.
I got a round of applause when I walked in. Took a bow and apologised for my misdemeanour. Still, I did receive my certificate for having travelled the Gota Canal by boat. (and by foot for a little way).
Had a lovely breakfast this morning at Elens for Katarinas birthday - pancakes and carrot cake and coffee! They are both lovely Swedish girls who live in Copenhagen. Quickly packed up our stuff and grabbed a bus to the train station. After a bit of floundering around we managed to find the right platform. A train came and we werent sure if it was the one we were meant to get on, so Shane ran up to the front and jumped on to check and ask someone and I stayed on ...
... br> I enjoyed Copenhagen because it was my first time to travel alone, not because of the people. As for Sweden, no matter Bromo, Stockholm, or Skara, the "people" fulled my trip. One year after Sweden, I still remember vividly my time with them. The laughter, and jokes, the conversations, etc. A little bit disappointed that I couldn't go this year, but Sweden will remain my one of my best trips! ...
Back to Skara I felt home sweet home. At least I had someone to talk to.
The next morning was the high-school graduation day in Skara. It was an annual event that everybody on town celebrated it. I was so lucky to see a wonderful graduation. Oh yes, Berit was the teacher of the high school.
