... French - the guide book said there were some interesting 'murrailles' on this walk - which Andy assumed were murals - ancient Neolithic cave paintings came to mind as they are common in the area. But we found out it means 'stone wall' so the little stone buildings we found along the way were the interesting landmarks!! Ending the day with a dip in the pool and steak frites and tarte abricots for dinner was just perfect! ...

... the bags off we headed to the bike shop and Ant met Julien - the owner of the shop and a pretty impressive downhill mountain biker - having traveled the world circuit until last year! Bike fitted and a few suggested routes later - we were back for a quick siesta before Brigette picked us up and we headed out for dinner.

Caught train to Grasse...well train to Cannes and then an hour wait for a bus to Grasse. Apparently part of the rail line damaged because of heavy rain. On arrival in Grasse, waited for a bus to take us up to the centre. Went to Fragonard and then into the village. Some nice shops...Fragonard clothing and another with gifts/home wares. Bought ...

... beach! Definitely somewhere I hope to return in the future. Lucas and I were really fortunate that we were able to see this part of France since majority of people within our program weren't able to plan to visit this area since the summer weather for it was quickly passing. The weekend ended up being perfect for us and I am so glad we decided to go when we did!

... br> We stopped off at Villefranche a beautiful old 13th century town with a high walled citadel on the top of the hill around the port. Nath and I went on to the beach which was more pebbly than rocks and much more comfortable to lie/sit on. It was now 5.30pm and the beach was still crowded with families) doesn’t get dark till 9pm.
