... lunch at Miramar Restaurant and looked at the enormous yachts. Afterwards, I got up the nerve to go into the elegant Hotel de Paris across from the Monte Carlo Casino to ask to use the restroom! At least I have class. And thank goodness, the answer was yes! I continued to perspire and have stomach cramps for most of the day and evening, but I was able to keep going.

We bought provisions for a light supper on ...

Up tomorrow, a perfume factory, Formula One sites and fancy cars in Monaco, possibly Grace Kelly's grave site, and then we will have some free time to see various parts of Cannes in smaller groups.

Caught train to Grasse...well train to Cannes and then an hour wait for a bus to Grasse. Apparently part of the rail line damaged because of heavy rain. On arrival in Grasse, waited for a bus to take us up to the centre. Went to Fragonard and then into the village. Some nice shops...Fragonard clothing and another with gifts/home wares. Bought ...

St Paul was not too busy at all and we strolled comfortably around the very narrow streets. The first winding lane is all artist studios and you must never catch their eye or your credit card is in for a pounding. No prices shown here and best not to ask or show an interest.
