There was sooo much to see and it was all set up in such an impressive manner. My favorite thing was going around looking at the thousands of paintings and taking pictures of my favorites. I'm planning on looking up the artists later to see more of their work. I had enjoyed it so much that this weekend when I go to Madrid I'm planning spending almost an entire day in the three art museums they have.
Next we went to the Notre Dame ...
... sick. People often hate tourist things and the tourists that visit them, but I personally can see why so many people crowd around it, not only was if famous, but I found the Mona Lisa amazing. As someone who knows nothing about art I couldn’t really analyse it, but when the mass of people in front of me had taken their photo and left and I got to the front and had a proper look at the Mona Lisa I found myself unable to look away. It was slightly hypnotic ...

So i arrived at charles de gaulle airport on thursday june 19th at about 4: 45.pm
I walked off the plane and was ushered onto a bus that took me and the other passengers to the next terminal. I waited in a line to get my passport stamped and then went to wait for my 2 bags to get off the plane. All of this waiting took almost 2 hours, maybe it was 1 1/2 but it was way longer than ...
... the very top. You do come down all at the same time but gravity is helping you. When I got to the Parvis my misery was all washed away. The view up there is spectacular and the chimera animals (gargoyles) are really neat. The view from the top is even better. After I came down I met my mother and we headed to Ste. Chapelle a few blocks away. It is completely surrounded by the Police Prefecture so to get into the Chapel we had to go through security like we ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France hevachick... exhibit we want to check out more. This was really my first time in Paris. Paris is breathtaking. As we were searching for our building, we turned a corner and at the end of the street stood Le Pantheon. It was so amazing, so beautiful, and it literally just ended the street in grandeur. I am so excited to be going to school in the building I am which is beside the Pantheon. I can't believe monks used to study here ...
Paris, France eileen.tan... night, so we decided to come back in the evening. We took a leisurely stroll down the Champs Elysses, which is a beautiful tree-lined avenue with wide sidewalks and an abundance of shops and street cafes. It's the shopping capital of Paris and arguably one of the best in the world, rivaling Ginza in Japan and Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. We walked in a couple stores, but the only way that I could afford to buy anything is if they had moved the decimals a ...
Paris, France jvsaethangIn case you were wondering, a crepe with nutella in it is possibly the most wonderful food on the planet. That's what I got myself for breakfast on Thursday the 3rd, on the way to the Louvre. I had planned on getting up around 8 to get an early start, but I didn't set my alarm and therefore slept until about 8:45. Turns out, the sun doesn't rise early in Paris int he winter. Kind of a pain for the old internal clock. C'est la vie ... I ...
Paris, France fyregirl... On the opposite side of the river we encountered the Notre Dame, from The Hunchback of Notre Dame fame, one of my favourite Disney movies as a kid. Unlike most of Paris' other attractions, entry to the Notre Dame is free and it was only a short wait to enter the amazing, high ceilinged cathedral. Inside it is deathly silent, with the only hushed whispers made resonating off the wide, open space. Much of the decorations are in gothic ...
Paris, France irresolue... own I guess. I then went to the Notre Dame cathedral which is a great building, unfortunately I had only recently seen the Vatican a few weeks beforehand, which its probably unfair to compare it to. Construction of Notre-Dame de Paris began in 1163 during the reign of Louis VII. Pope Alexander III laid the foundation stone& construction was completed roughly 200 years later in about 1345. My final tourist ...
Paris, France branks... I couldn't move. I felt like my stomach was bursting. But boy did my food taste good going down. I packed my bag, talked some more and climbed into bed at about 11.30. Midnight. 2 more people joined our room. 1 of these would sleep above me (if he didn't fall through) and the other on the fold out bed. Except I had to get up early in the morning because of my train to Mont St Michel. I also figured the fold out bed couldn't ...
