... so we left pretty early to make the nearly three hour drive. The funniest part of the day was when the girls saw the Falls they said ‘Wow" and Kaitlyn then said ‘so, what is there to do here’. Spoilt brat!!! We stayed a while and walked along the path to see the falls from different viewpoints. The day was freezing cold and we watched the Maid of the Mist boats going up close to the falls thinking how cold it must be ...

Parkhill, Ontario, Canada brydebsimon... and the Horseshoe Falls o n the Canadian side. It is amazing to see the colour of the water it’s like glass, the noise and the force that the water has is fantastic. The American side whilst built up was quite sedate in comparison to their Canadian counterparts.

The Americans had a few attractions with different viewing areas. You could take a lift to the bottom and almost stand under the fall in some parts as well as take the Maid in The Mist boat ride ...

London, Ontario, Canada nobert... we drove through south London. More condominium housing and strip malls - all the big box stores you can think of. With all the development taking place I wondered how long the city could hold on to its title as The Forest City.

We shared a time of great food, and conversation, talking until after 10:00 p.m., when we decided it was best to check into our hotel to get some sleep, since we had such a long journey waiting for us the following day.
London, Ontario, Canada robsargeant... eyes were smiling.

About a mile out from where we were going to camp, a man stopped us in the street. He flagged us down on a 90 kph highway. He was wearing a ron jons surf shop hat and he told us about a trailer park that would take us for the night.

Anyway, it's this huge perminant resident trailor park right on the edge of the lake. We're sleeping on this cliff and I can hear the waves crashing. It's beautiful.

Like I said before.... What a day.
Saint Thomas, Ontario, Canada americanpoet... that has a unique band playing a 3 hour set. This band consisting of 6 friends from 4 separate bands playing together every sunday. These guys were very good playing a mixture of old rock and rock & roll numbers. They were so good I even fell asleep in my chair and got chucked out. Not exactly a good warm up for our next stop - Oktoberfest.
London, Ontario, Canada sd0744... travel time on the bus was approx. 3 hours, 51 min.). Our first stop was at a sad little shopping mall so we could all get something to eat (fine Canadian cuisine, to be certain). Inside, Katelyn, Leah, and Rachel sat together at one table, forcing Nick and I to sit alone together (they were all conspiring against us at this point). Rachel stealthily snapped a few photos (this was to be a continuing theme throughout the day).

We scrabbled ...
