The foie gras

A travel blog entry by sherreedwyer

Last night we went out for tea in the local district, which is the Sorbonne right opposite the Pantheon. There is a very French little brasserie/pub where you can see the Eiffel Tower shining away at night. This restaurant was recommended to us by Gina, but I am ahead of myself. Today, was another walking day starting with shops along Rue St Germain, a long very famous Parisian street. We soon branched off into these little lane ways and streets that contained fabulous little ...

Tony went to see if he could get so e bread before the boulangerie at the edge of the town closed at 12 and I went and bought a white scarf to go with my white dress form the Blanc du Nil shop. That way I can drape it over my shoulders and avoid having to use sunscreen near white clothing. I also ...

Les Catacombes and Eiffel Tower

A travel blog entry by writeofpassage

... another hungry waiting couple. The menu was in french, so we had no idea what we were ordering. I ended up eating a lovely duck breast, cooked pink with red wine jus. Nathan had a nice piece of beef steak with potatoes. We did want to try escargot (snails) but we were just too hungry to gamble with something like that, so we left it for another day. By the time we got home it was 2pm. And no, we couldn't be bothered to go back to see the Eiffel Tower all lit up at ...
