... M went to a luggage store and Nicaela and I opted to take a taxi. Trouble was that the driver let us off early to save himself getting caught in the 'Tour de France' finale. We had to walk for 45 minutes in the rain to get back :( We were soaked! And finally, back to the hotel for packing. The girls are leaving very early for London by train. ... Then we walked to Ile St Louis to drop Agnes off safely and then walked Ornella to Hotel de Ville to catch her train home. It was quite a day, the girls are gorgeous and their partners were absolutely charming. We just blobbed at home, it's a school day tomorrow! Just a short addition, as we were walking to Victor Hugo's, there were a couple of buskers with a twist, they were singing Opera, it was echoing all over Place des Vosges, such a beautiful sound on a winters ...

... it took us half an hour to find the correct ticket place (big place, not much signage), which looked like yesterday's immigration queue, but more surly. Big police/military presence, we saw a couple of groups of heavily armed military men.
We were broken souls by the time we had possession of the tickets so came back to the relative peace of our 'burb, stopping only to buy the doings for a dinner sandwich. 2 euros worth of cheese and 4 euros for ham and ...
