... I was out we went back there and had a proper breakfast---no, I will never order "white tea" again , its just hot cream that they play like there is tea in, there's not I'm sure. ... a worming farm with animals and gardens. Lots of lovely pictures to share. We took the train home (pretty straight forward ) and got off next to our hotel. We walked the Latin quarter to find a restaurant we both thought was good. I had beef burgeon and French onion soup with the mandatory wine. All good. So typically French! Today we wandered to the louvre a short time after it opened to try to beat the crowds. As we walked into the centre courtyard we bumped into the back of the queue. About 200 metres long. Bugger. Anyway it moved pretty quickly and soon we were inside. The kids wanted to see the Mona Lisa . So did everybody else . ... cherubs, nymphs and winged horses on either end. I couldn't believe it has been standing there for over a hundred years and through two world wars. obviously a recent paint job gives it a just built look.
