Finally we have arrived here to visit with Heidi, Norm, Maria and Mattias. This is one of the handful of goals we had made many months ago! Heidi grew up a few houses down the block from where she is now living, and is here for one year, which for her is sadly coming to an end. ... but the 17m high Slottsfjellstårnet tower built after the war within the castle ground provides a good view of Tønsberg and the Oslofjord. Hey, again, I'm at work, so I must keep this short. Time has flown by and it's my last day here. I wrote an entry offline about it last night that i'll post later. Tonight I pack up my stuff and head to Oslo with Jo-Petter to scope out the city and meet up with the other PLU students on Wednesday. I think I'll be in Hamar by Friday or Saturday. Well my friends, I've made it. I'm currently sitting in my room for the next month and 1/2: a small camping trailer parked just outside the front door to Jo-Petter's house. I survived the flight from Seattle to Amsterdam during which we flew far enough north that, although we should have been flying during night time, we never left the reach of the suns rays ...

... the little snack shops on the docks. Friday night I stayed at Davy and Ester's(my brother and sister-in-law, for those who don't know) in Sandefjord and Davy made pancakes for us in the morning. Yummy. It was nice to see them and get to spend a little time there. Overall, the trip felt like a little peaceful family vacation and it was very refreshing. I'm glad that I was able to work it into my London trip this summer.
