... drive along the Rhine River, and then joined the Autobahn around Mannheim. As we were driving towards Crailsheim, we suddenly noticed a couple of Concorde Jets which were parked on a roof. What was this? Where were we? Sinsheim?? Hmmm, must look this up later when we aren’t driving.

... and enjoyed a Hugo, a sparkling wine with lime juice and mint leaves - it tasted nutty. Later that evening I wandered about the local area and ended up going to the same restaurant in Alexanderplatz for another Wiener Schnitzel :). It was a freezing cold and miserable night but the restaurant was very well patronised and the (very extensive) outside heaters allowed me to sit outside and enjoy the goings-on.

... at the 1928 Barcelona exhibition designed by Mies van der Rohe. A beautiful, clean open building. After the exhibition there was an attempt to rebuild the building in a Berlin park, but the money could not be raised so the structure was lost. A pity. We had lunch in the cafe sitting on tubular steel chairs of original Bauhaus design. Such chairs and the bendable desk lamb are only two of the Bauhaus designs we take for granted now. Simple, ...

... The colours are amazing and not overdone at all. Very impressive. After an hour or so we then left to find a nice cafe. We instead kept walking and talking and walking until we remembered what we were looking for.. A cafe! So we kept walking until we found a nice little bookshop. We had a long look inside, bought a few things then remembered again that we were looking for a cafe. So we continued our walk until we found a cute little cupcake cafe near hackischer markt station. ...
