       On Wednesdays we do not have classes and instead have field studies or field trips to various places.  Today, my Biological Conservation and Biodiversity class met outside the Copenhagen Zoo for our first field study.  Our assignment was to find four different types of animals (mammals, insect, amphibian, fish, reptile, bird) that had a different rank on the IUNC Red List, so either critically endangered, endangered, vulnerable, or least concerned status.       ... After shopping and strolling we headed back to the hotel where I ended up having a big old nap. I was, for some reason, really tired! Maybe it's the cold weather!? When I woke up we went downstairs and found a cheap Thai place to have a bite. The food was once again amazing and didn't cost an arm and leg which you have to be really careful about here.

      With an early start tomorrow it was an early night in for both of us but another enjoyable day awaiting us ...

      ... but of course not too cheap because don't forget - we are in Copenhagen). Anyways, we've been meaning to get oatmeal, as it's pretty cheap, healthy, and can last a while. We saw the orange sign which means there is a sale and were staring at the two different bags as if we were reading pig latin...well, Danish is pig latin to us.

      ... to go back all the way to the hostel, grab my bathers and hire a bike so I could get to places faster since I not only wanted to swim but also to check out a place called Christiania which I'll talk about in a minute and see if I could get a Scandinavian data SIM card. Hiring the bike was a lot more difficult than expected and therefore didn't save much time. I first had to find bike 61 which I couldn't find so had to ask for help. Then I couldn't unlock it ...

      ... the Royal Family's winter residence - the flag was up outside Frederik, the Crown Prince's home, indicating he was home, but the Queen's flag was down. However, when we passed a square later in the morning, we saw a military parade, and there Queen Margrethe II was, dressed in blue. An interesting sight was experimental - a house built inside a glass dome, to see what happened long term because of the micro climate created.
