... passed by three of these large crosses along the highway. The one in Texas claimed to be the largest in North America, however, the one in Effingham, Illinois is 10 feet taller and claims to the be tallest in the world. All I know is these crosses can be seen for miles and make an impressive sight along the roadway.
Tomorrow should bring us within a short drive to home.
Tonight we're staying in the Alpha Psi chapter house of Pi Kappa Phi. This place is huge! The whole house houses over 100 brothers and is well over three times the size of the WSU chapter house. Drinking AM coffee, on our way to see the world's biggest windchimes in Casey, IL. Woke up at 6am and Nay was ready to roll 5 minutes later.
Drove 700 miles yesterday, were settled into the hotel --after supper out--by 7. Not much new to see yet. 13 dead deer roadside, 3x that many dead blown tractor trailer tires, the beginnings of flat and farm.

... where John did two performances for two different groups of school kids. It was his first time performing in a gymnasium and the program he had written worked well for a large room of noisy kids. Haha.
After that, we went back to the RV and relaxed for awhile. We weren't sure at that point what was going on in Oxford (and we weren't able to find a place near that town to stay overnight), so we opted for a drive to Lafayette, IN to stay in their Walmart's parking lot.
