      ... lads we'd seen earlier on in the trip. It was satisfying to see that they were okay and had managed to also find their way!! We'd also been in touch with Ashleigh and Peter via Facebook who we'd met earlier on in the trip.... so cool!!!!

      There were a small fleet of Mustangs on the Route 66 tour being driven by a group of New Zealanders. I dont think they like the English, and the impression we got is that they're not so popular in ...

      We pulled into the Amarillo Ranch RV Park later in the afternoon. We have stayed here in the past and it's a very clean, friendly, reasonable and easy off / easy on interstate park.

      We set out on our Southwest America journey on Wednesday July 9th at 1pm. The kids settled in for the long ride by swiftly firing up their electronic devices. Aria had a movie going on her DVD player before we got on I-20. They were so entertained that not once today did I hear "Are we there, yet?"

      ... the middle with an oval dance floor round it where couples did a country western dance known as '2 steppin' where the bloke leads the way in a ballroom sorta style and every now and then they throw a spin or two in. We watched on for ages as people from all walks danced around including wedding parties, and old blokes dancing with young girls 2 stereos their way around.       ... and began to see some oil rigs. Susan Lawson had called Dolly and warned her of severe thunderstorms that were ahead of us and we kept an eye on the southwest horizon.
